The season was not done with the 15s finals. A week later the union switched codes for the Auckland Samoa 7s, a fast, fierce sevens tournament that lit up Mangere across the weekend, run alongside the Le Jungle Markets for a full day out for the whole community.
When the dust settled, Marist Samoa NZ were crowned AS7s 2025 champions, taking out the Cup. Sale'imoa carried their strong season into the sevens to win the Plate, and Leulumoega-Tuai claimed the Bowl. Three grades, three sets of champions, and silverware shared around the villages once again.
As ever, the day ran on the work of many: the teams, coaches, managers and supporters who turned up, and the union's President, Fepuleai Cochise Avei, and the organising team who put the tournament together. The union thanked everyone who made it a success, on the field and behind the scenes.
From the 15s finals to the sevens, the 2025 season ended the way it was played: mana first, village first, with the whole community there to share it. Tautua mo Sāmoa.
